Coal is the most widely used solid fuel for homes without gas and for boiler houses: it burns longer than firewood, gives more heat per kilogram and needs no drying before the season. One load of anthracite in a solid fuel boiler keeps the heat going for 8-12 hours, and a tonne of coal replaces roughly 2-2.5 tonnes of dry firewood in terms of heat.
Thermera sells two types of coal. Anthracite has the highest calorific value: about 7,000-8,000 kcal/kg. It burns with no smoke and almost no flame and leaves little ash. It needs a boiler with good draught and is slow to light, but it burns evenly and for a long time. The grades AO (АО, nut, 25-50 mm), AM (АМ, 13-25 mm) and AS (АС, 6-13 mm) differ only in lump size: for manual loading or for the auger of an automatic boiler. Long-flame coal DG (ДГ) is a bituminous coal with a high volatile matter content: it lights easily, burns with a long flame and suits any solid fuel boiler, stove or potbelly stove. Its calorific value is lower than that of anthracite, about 5,500-6,500 kcal/kg, so a tonne also costs less.
Packaging: 25 kg bags, big bags of about 1 tonne and bulk loads by truck. Bags are convenient for a house: they are easy to carry, stack in a shed and measure out per load. For boiler houses and purchases of several tonnes, bulk or big bags are better value, as the price per tonne is lower.
The price depends on the grade, fraction, packaging and volume: current prices per bag and per tonne are in the table below on this page. Delivery across Ukraine: from our warehouse with our own vehicles, and to other regions by carrier. Wholesale buyers and boiler houses get a supply contract, bank transfer payment with VAT and a test report for each batch showing ash content, moisture and calorific value.
